河野未彩  -  Midori Kawano

Visual Director / Artist

Born in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Based in Tokyo.
Graduated from Tama Art University in 2006, majoring in Product Design.

​

Strongly inspired by cosmic perspectives found in music and art, Kawano has been creating and presenting her work since the mid-2000s. Working across graphic design, product design, and spatial installations, her practice explores the perception of color and visual phenomena.

Her practice spans graphic works driven by the sensory pleasure of color, as well as photography direction, digital painting, product design, and installation. With a visual world rooted in graphic design at the core of her practice, she works both in Japan and internationally.

Her work RGB_Light, which utilizes the phenomena of light and shadow, has been patented in both Japan and the United States and was released as a product in 2020.

神奈川県横浜市生まれ。東京を拠点に活動。
2006年、多摩美術大学プロダクトデザイン専攻卒業。

音楽や美術に漂う宇宙観に強く惹かれ、2000年代半ばより作品を発表。グラフィックデザイン、プロダクト、空間演出などを媒体として、色彩の知覚や現象に着目した作品を制作している。

色彩快楽的なグラフィック作品をはじめ、フォトディレクションやデジタルペインティング、プロダクトデザイン、インスタレーションなど、グラフィックによって構築した世界観を軸に国内外で活動している。

光と影の現象を利用した「RGB_Light」は、日本および米国で特許を取得し、2020年に製品化。

​

神社検定3級。
第二種電気工事士免許。
